Wycombe Wanderers defender Will De Havilland has joined Maidstone on loan for the rest of the season.
De Havilland caught Jay Saunders’ eye playing on loan for Aldershot against the Stones earlier this season.
The 23-year-old played for Millwall and Sheffield Wednesday before joining Wycombe in the summer of 2016.
He made his Wycombe debut in a Checkatrade Trophy tie against Bristol City and was a regular in League 2 in the second half of last season.
Stones boss Saunders said: “Will’s someone we’ve kept an eye on over the season.
“I was really impressed with him when he played against us for Aldershot and we kept tabs on him since then and this is something we’ve tried a couple of times to get over the line.
“For one reason or another, mainly injuries at Wycombe, it didn’t quite happen but they’ve been good enough to let us have him.
“It’s obviously an area I’ve not been happy with of late, defensively, so he’s someone that’ll come in and he gives us plenty of options.
“It gives me options to move people about and he’ll be a really good addition to us.”
De Havilland could make his debut when United host Barrow on Saturday.
