MAIDSTONE United have signed goalkeeper Dave Wietecha in time for Saturday's FA Cup First Qualifying Round tie with Burnham.

The 6ft 6ins former Millwall keeper, 31, will cover for Pat Mullin, who starts a month-long suspension.

Stone player-manager Lloyd Hume said: "We’re delighted to have got him.

"He’s played over 100 games for Folkestone. Bill Williams tried to sign him when he was at Dover and when I was playing in the Southern Premier League he was the best keeper around."
