Everyone’s talking about Maidstone’s FA Cup tie against League 2 Yeovil – apart from the players.
Stones have a National League South game at Concord Rangers to take care of first and that’s been the focus at training.
Jay Saunders’ in-form side travel to Essex on Saturday fourth in National League South after five wins and six clean sheets in a row.
It’s a run they want to build on before thinking about next weekend’s first-round clash at the Gallagher Stadium, the tie switched to Sunday for television coverage.
Manager Jay Saunders said: “The cup seems to be all everyone’s talking about but there’s a big game at Concord first and it’s important we carry on our run.
“The players didn’t talk about the cup at training, other than wanting to know the craic with tickets and whether it would be played on Saturday or Sunday.
“I trust the lads and I’m sure they’ll be focused at Concord.
“We’re going there full of confidence and we’ll be able to look forward to Yeovil a lot more if we go into it on the back of a win.”
