Caroline Levett is believed to be the first female manager to win a trophy in the Maidstone & Mid Kent Sunday League.
Levett, who took charge of the newly formed Headcorn side at the start of the season, saw her team lift the Invitation Cup at the Gallagher Stadium.
They beat Maidstone Kestrels from the division above 6-0, boosted by two early goals from Piers Fuchter.
Levett was invited to take charge by chairman Mike Donnelly and what a season it’s been, with Headcorn also on course to win Division 3.
She said: “I’ve watched football all my life but this is my first experience of anything like this.
“When I started, the opposition managers and even the officials used to walk straight by me but it’s been really good building relationships and earning respect.
“At the moment it’s a bit of a dream and we’re still in contention to win the league if we win our remaining games.”
Levett’s son, Tom, is part of the side, having come through the junior ranks at Headcorn.
He’s the youngest member of a team featuring a mix of former under-18 players and more experienced heads.
Levett said: “The support I’ve had from the boys is absolutely fantastic.
“They took me to their hearts instantly and the club have been incredibly supportive too.
“There’s no secret to what we’ve done this season. I think it’s just that will to succeed.
“They want to do it for themselves, for me and for the club.
“There was a positive mood going into the final and everything fell into place - it was very much perfection on the night.”
