KENT teenager Scott Wagstaff has signed a two and a half year professional contract with Charlton Athletic.
The 17-year-old Maidstone-based winger skippered the Addicks under-18s to FA Youth Cup success last month and has been an ever-present in the reserves so far this season.
Wagstaff, who was spotted on a Charlton community coaching course, said: "I am over the moon and it’s been a dream for me.
"I was so happy when I was told I didn’t really know what to say but now I just want to keep pushing for a place in the senior squad.
"I am already involved with the first team so that is a bonus."
However, Wagstaff is also keen to maintain the under-18s assault on the FA Youth Cup having appeared 12 times for them and scoring five goals.
And he has started all 10 Pontin’s Holidays Combination Central fixtures under reserve boss Mark Kinsella, grabbing his first second-string goal in the 5-2 win against Millwall on December 5.
Wagstaff pledged: "I want to keep pushing at youth and reserve level, and it will be great to hopefully lead the under-18s out at The Valley in the youth cup."
