Swindon Supermarine v Maidstone
Maidstone joint-manager Alan Walker says his side must be focused for Saturday’s FA Trophy second qualifying round tie away to Swindon Supermarine.
The Wiltshire club, whose fortunes have fluctuated in recent season, sit top of the British Gas Southern Premier Division with 24 points from 12 games. They have lost twice at home, scoring eight and conceding eight.
“As ever we have been thorough in our preparation,” said Walker. “We have a number of scouting reports on them and know what they are all about.
“But it’s all about us and what we do on the day that matters. I was full of praise about the way we set about beating Margate in what was a potential banana skin on Tuesday night.
“It will take that kind of focus if we’re to get something from Saturday’s tie.”
Elliot Bradbrook is still struggling to shake off a niggling thigh injury while Kevin Watson is nursing damaged ankle ligaments.
The rest of the squad are fit.
Should a replay be necessary it will be atb Bourne Park on Tuesday, kick-off 7.45pm.
