MAIDSTONE-born soccer player Steve Ward makes his international debut for the England Semi-Pro XI tonight (Tuesday) in Ostend.

Ward, who plays for Ryman League Premier Division side Canvey Isalnd, was chosen for the squad by manager Paul Fairclough when the Conference decided to boycott the fixture.

The boyhood Maidstone United fan who now lives in Medway, has previously been involved in several FA Cup upsets while playing for the Essex giant-killers.
