Tonbridge Angels manager Tommy Warrilow refuses to read too much into Tuesday night’s 3-2 defeat at Folkestone Invicta.
The surprise result came just three days after an impressive 2-0 victory over Dartford.
Warrilow said: “This has probably been the best pre-season since I’ve been at the club and, although Tuesday was a bit disappointing, I’m not going to get too down about it.
“We played well on Saturday, kept a clean sheet and beat a good Dartford side but then went to Folkestone on Tuesday and came unstuck.”
Goals in each half from Henry Muggeridge and Mark Lovell (penalty) weren’t enough to save Tonbridge from defeat against a lively Folkestone side.
Lovell had also been on target against Dartford, with Nathan Pinney adding Angels’ second goal.
Angels travel to Whitstable Town on Saturday and Warrilow is expecting to field a full-strength squad apart from the absence of striker Miguel Suarez, who has had to return home to Spain.
