Is there a more popular manager in Britain at the moment than George Elokobi?
It certainly doesn’t seem like it - he’s even been suggested as the next England gaffer.
The love for Maidstone’s boss on social media during their history-making FA Cup run is something else.
You’d expect him to be popular with Stones supporters after leading the club to the fifth round of the cup for the first time.
But he seems to have endeared himself to fans of all clubs for the way he’s conducted himself these past couple of months.
Everyone loves an underdog story, and Maidstone have been good value on that front after knocking out three Football League clubs.
But it’s everything else, the emotional interviews, the boundless energy and his rousing speeches, that have taken his popularity to new levels.
Our video of Elokobi addressing waiting Stones fans after arriving at Portman Road to play Ipswich on Saturday was viewed almost 500,000 times over the weekend.
