Patients are being given the chance to hear in advance what will be in store for them at their new medical centre.
The Edenbridge Memorial Health Centre is due to open at the end of November.
There will be a public meeting in the Edenbridge WI Hall in Station Road, on Saturday, October 7, from 10am to 11.30am.
The Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust’s chief executive, Mairead McCormick, said: “The health and care needs of Edenbridge have been at the heart of our planning throughout the journey to the new health centre.
“We have worked hard to develop services that meet the needs of the local population, now and in the future.
“As promised, we are looking forward to coming back to talk about the fantastic facilities that will be on offer.
“At previous listening events, we heard a real range of views and I want to acknowledge people’s concerns about not having an X-ray facility and changes to the minor injury service.
“We’ve tried really hard to come up with solutions and are continuing to look at alternative ways of delivering a more robust service, but this still remains a challenge and we want to be really honest about this.”
The health hub, being delivered in conjunction with the Edenbridge Medical Practice, is costing £13.5m.
The public had earlier said they were unhappy that the proposed opening hours for a minor injury service would be Monday to Friday only. People wanted the service to be open during the evening and at weekends.
They were also disappointed about the lack of an X-ray service, mostly due to travel and transport issues of travelling elsewhere.
The Edenbridge Memorial Health Centre will bring together a wide range of health services under one roof, including a GP practice, outpatient services, therapies and social prescribing.
The hub will include a wellbeing day centre designed to provide a multi-purpose space to facilitate sessions aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of the local population.
