A road has reopened after more than seven hours after a crash involving a car and a lorry.
Police stopped all traffic in both directions of the A21 near Pembury, between junctions with Hastings Road and Maidstone Road.
Two response cars and two ambulances attended along with the air ambulance and Kent Fire and Rescue.
No injuries have been reported as of yet.
Drivers were advised to approach with caution and expect delays in the area.
The crash comes after concerns were raised about the road following the death of Subhash Pai earlier this year.
The incident happened at around 1pm.
A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Kent Police was called at 12.57pm on Wednesday, October 30 to a serious collision on the A21 coastbound between Pembury and the Blue Boys roundabout, involving a lorry.
"Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance service are at the scene and a road closure is currently in place."
Kent Police confirmed the road reopened at around 8.15pm.
