An Aldi will be closed for almost a week to undergo a refit.
The supermarket in Hermitage Lane, Aylesford, will shut at 6pm tomorrow (Saturday, September 28) and reopen at 8am on Thursday, October 3.
A sign has been put up inside the branch entrance warning customers of the upcoming closure.
It says: “Don’t look now, we’re changing. This store will be closing for a makeover.”
The firm has said the upgrades will create a better shopping experience for its customers and a “more sustainable” store.
Changes will include increased chiller space, with new fridge doors to reduce energy consumption, extra room for special buys and redesigned health and beauty and bakery sections.
Store manager Lawrence Osborne said: “The store is looking fantastic and we are really looking forward to welcoming back some familiar faces as well as new customers and supplying our local community with the everyday amazing products we have available.”
While the retailer is closed, customers are advised to shop at nearby branches in Kings Hill, Maidstone and Chatham.
