Schools from the county have been recognised for strong Ofsted reports at an awards ceremony.
Head teachers and governors from Brookfield Infant School in Aylesford and Hadlow Primary in Hadlow were invited to the Kent County Council (KCC) event at Maidstone’s Mercure Hotel.
They were given certificates of appreciation from Roger Gough, the KCC cabinet member for education, and Patrick Leeson, the council’s corporate director.
Mr Gough told the recipients: “Your schools are great examples of what can be achieved with the right leadership from yourselves and the continued commitment of your staff.”
Pauline Woods, the head teacher at Brookfield Infant School, was keen to praise her staff, saying that “one person’s success is everyone’s success.”
The school was rated “outstanding” by Ofsted earlier this year, while Hadlow Primary received a “good” rating.
