Bags of white powder found on a popular route for dog walkers sparked fears someone was dropping drugs or poison - but the reality was much less sinister.

Vickie Fox spotted the bags when walking her pet, and tweeted the photos to local groups to raise concerns as they were within easy access to dogs.

But it turns out the mysterious powder was actually FLOUR.

Police were called to the woodland near to Cottenham Close, East Malling, at around 10am.

Officers attended the scene and found the bags, but closer inspection revealed them to contain the harmless cooking ingredient.

It is not yet known who had left the bags there, or why they had bagged flour up in this way.
