Firefighters were called to a roof fire in Swan Street, West Malling just after 12.40pm this afternoon.

The road was closed while crews attended the blaze, which broke out above a restaurant.

Three fire engines attended, as well as a bulk water carrier and a height vehicle, and crews wearing breathing apparatus worked to extinguish the flames using hose reel jets.

No injuries have been reported and the cause is not yet known.
