A driver fled from the scene after being challenged by police in a busy town centre street.

Officers are keen to trace the driver of the vehicle, which failed to stop in Swan Street, West Malling at 6.46pm last night.

Some reports on social media referred to the incident as a police chase, which ended in a car crash.

Police are trying to locate the driver.
