The family of a motorcyclist found lying in the central reservation after coming off his bike have paid tribute to a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Stephen Chapman was killed shortly before 9am on Sunday, September 3, on the Nepicar roundabout, which links the A20 to junction 2a of the M26.

The 53-year-old from Northfleet came off his Kawasaki ZX 600 bike, and died at the scene.

His loved ones have now issued a tribute.

They said: "Stephen was a loving husband, father of four, and grandfather of one.

"As a chiropodist, Stephen had a surgery on Darnley Road, Gravesend. He will be greatly missed by many."

The inquest into the 53-year-old's death opened last week. The court heard that Mr Chapman had died from hypovolemic shock, a condition resulting from major blood loss.

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the crash.
