A man has been arrested for assaulting a woman and causing criminal damage.

Police were called at 7.30am today to reports of a disturbance at a house in Alex Hughes Close, Snodland.

It is alleged that a 30-year-old man assaulted a woman and caused criminal damage to a door.

He remains in custody.
