They said: “We have had reports of people tearing down the signs and allowing their dogs to chase the swans who have chosen Manor Park to breed this year.”

Two swans have previously been injured by dogs, the park said in an online post.

This is the first time the birds have nested at the country park for a few years and the public have been urged to “please help [them] look after them.”
