The owner of a popular shop in West Malling has died.
Tim Baldock, who owned and ran Baldock's work and ski-wear store in the High Street, passed away yesterday.
A statement, posted on the shop's Facebook page, informed customers of the sad news.
It said: "It is with a heavy heart that we wish to inform you that Tim Baldock sadly passed away yesterday.
"The Baldock family and Sharon and Mark and everyone in the Abbey Arcade wish to thank you for all your support and kind words at this sad time."
One of Mr Baldock's most famous customers was The Beatles' Ringo Starr.
The Fab Four's drummer visited in 1967 when the band was filming Magical Mystery Tour nearby - and bought a shirt and pair of jeans.
It was one of the popular shopkeeper's most memorable moments, and his recollection of events were called upon for a follow-up film recording people's memories of the time The Beatles rolled into town.
Karen Hill reacted by saying: "Such sad news... my thoughts are with you all at this tough time."
