It appeared yesterday morning and Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council is investigating the cause.

Council leader Matt Boughton (Con) said: "During the investigation the council will be removing its glass, cans and plastic banks, together with the litter bins.

"We have also requested the paper bank be removed as well.

"The nearest alternative recycling bank is at ASDA on Kings Hill, and hopefully these can return as soon as possible once the cause of the sinkhole is understood and repairs have been made."
