Crash on M20 between junction 3 (M26) and junction 4 (Leybourne/Snodland)

A six-vehicle crash caused delays of up to 60 minutes on the M20 near Leybourne.

Police confirmed they were called to coastbound carriageway between junctions 3 and 4 just before 5.40pm.

Traffic delays of 60 minutes have been reported

At one stage traffic was queuing back to junction 2 (Wrotham) with further delays past the M26 junction 2a in the roadworks area.

A spokesman said: "Officers are in attendance and at present no injuries have been reported.

"One vehicle is currently awaiting recovery and motorists may encounter some delays."

Motorists were urged to use the A2 and M2 if heading out of London.

The road eventually cleared at around 7.45pm.
