Kings Hill: Suspected drink driver charged after crash in Gibson Drive

A Mereworth man has been charged with a catalogue of offences after a car crashed into a tree in Kings Hill.

Samuel Hodges, 22 and of The Street was arrested around 8.30pm last night after his car left the road at the roundabout on the A228 near Gibson Drive.

Police said he left the scene and was arrested in Butchers Lane 15 minutes later.

Hodges has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking, driving while unfit through drink, driving while disqualified and using a motor vehicle without third party insurance.

He was bailed to attend Maidstone Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, January 9.
