Drivers faced delays after an accident involving a lorry and a car halted traffic on the M20.

Vehicles were briefly held on the coastbound carriageway between junction 3 for the M26 and junction 4 for the A228.

Emergency services attended the scene.

One lane of four remained closed for a time following the accident shortly before 1.30pm.

All lanes have since been reopened.

It is not thought anyone was seriously hurt.
