Aylesford woman among two killed in car crash on A272, Sussex

A woman from Aylesford is among two dead and two seriously injured following a multi-vehicle crash in Sussex.
Emergency services were called to the incident on the A272 in West Grinstead at around 11.30am yesterday. March 28
The crash involved three vehicles: a silver Ford Fiesta, a white Ford Fiesta and a Skania Tipper Truck.
The 30-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene along with an 83-year-old man from Worthing.
Others were seriously injured with two other women, aged 23 and both from Kent, being taken to hospital.
The road remained closed while police, the fire service, ambulance service and air ambulance service dealt with the incident.
Police are appealing for information and witnesses.
Surrey & Sussex Serious Collision Investigation Unit's, Det Sgt Rob Baldwin said: “We would like to speak with anyone travelling on the A272 between Cowfold village and Littleworth Lane to the west, on Monday morning between 11.15am and 11.30am, who has dash camera footage.
"We'd also like to speak with any resident or business who has CCTV footage showing the road between those locations.”
