A patient group has issued a warning after anti-vaccination protestors taped razor blades behind conspiracy posters, injuring clinic staff as they tore them down.

The West Malling Practice Patient Participation Group said it was the latest in a series of incidents in which staff have been abused.

On top of the abuse they warned a man in the West Malling area was offering to pay people to impersonate him at a vaccination clinic, forcing them to put an ID policy in place.

The alert was shared on Facebook by Cllrs Nick Stapleton and Trudy Dean on their West Malling & Leybourne Matters page, which stated: "An update from the West Malling Group Practice Patient Participation Group.

"We have had an alert that a West Malling man is offering a fee via social media to anyone willing to impersonate him for his jab, so the clinic has had to step up security and now require ID to be presented at the desk for a vaccination.

"We have also had an alert that antivax protestors have taped razor blades to the back of posters elsewhere so that clinic staff in that area have sustained cuts to their hands when pulling the posters down.

"Staff, both clinical and non-clinical are exhausted and a number have left over recent months because of the abuse they have been receiving from patients."
