One road arm of a busy crossroads is currently still closed to traffic.

SGN closed Red Hill in Wateringbury for emergency repairs to a gas main on Wednesday of last week.

The company said it had now completed its repairs, but spokesman Bradley Barlow said: “The concrete is taking longer than usual to set and once this has been completed, we’ll be able to resurface the road at the weekend.”

It is expected the road will reopen on Monday morning.

Red Hill is one arm of the Wateringbury crossroads with the A26 Tonbridge Road.
