A six-year-old has raised £2,020 for charity by following Norman Tebbit's advice and getting on his bike.
Benjamin Shallcross from Trottiscliffe, near West Malling, cycled 52km in seven days to support Comic Relief.
The Trottiscliffe C of E Primary school pupil was accompanied by mum and dad, Anna and Mark Shallcross, who helped him set up a fund-raising page, and also sometimes by his dog Olly.
Mrs Shallcross said: "He was delighted. He was only trying to raise £300, but people just kept donating."
"Our tiny village nestles at the foot of the North Downs. With so many hills, it wasn’t an easy challenge for him.
"Benji was born prematurely at 28 weeks, which is 12, weeks early, so we are very proud of what he has achieved. He has such determination."
The family were on holiday in France, when Benjamin unexpectedly put in his first appearance. He weighed in at only 2lb 12oz.
