A broken down vehicle had partially blocked a busy stretch of road, causing delays for motorists.

The southbound A228 Castle Way In Leybourne had one lane blocked at the Leybourne Way junction due to the problem.

At 9.52am Kent Highways said all lanes had now opened following recovery of the broken down vehicle.

Earlier this morning, in a post on X, formerly Twitter, Kent Highways told commuters to “expect delays” in the area.
