Drivers are being urged to avoid a road near East Peckham after a burst water main sent water gushing across the road.
The 12in main burst at around 6am this morning on Seven Mile Lane at its junction with Comp Lane. See the scene this morning and hear from South East Water here:
A team from South East Water were on site shortly afterwards, and say the road will be shut most of today to allow for repairs.
Network operations manager, Andy Beston, said: "Once we get the water shut off it won't affect any properties.
"However we will have a lot of repair work to do, so the road will be shut for most of the day at this location."
The road closure is signposted and drivers are urged to use alternative routes. You can find suggestions for them here.
