Tracey Danby thanks family for support in breast cancer battle as part of kmfm's Make Someone's Christmas campaign

A mum battling cancer showed what the support of her family has meant to her by getting in touch with kmfm to give them a special gift this Christmas.

Tracey Danby discovered in October her breast cancer had come back and spread despite finishing treatment in June, following an initial diagnosis in April last year.

She contacted kmfm as part of the station's Make Someone's Christmas campaign with Kent Reliance to thank her husband Jason and daughters Chloe, 11, and Lilly, aged nine, for their support.

The family have been given an overnight treehouse stay at Port Lympne Reserve, near Hythe, plus some amazing experiences to enjoy while they are at the park.

Tracey said: "My husband and daughters are amazing and I would love to give them something back to show them how much I appreciate them and love them.

"It would be great to give my children a magical special day out or weekend away to take their minds off cancer and treatment."

Yesterday, Bailey-Jae Seaward was given tickets to see his beloved Arsenal after he helped save his father's life when he collapsed at home after having an epileptic seizure.

Also this week, kmfm has been in touch with Debbie Greensmith from Rochester, who runs community projects for the homeless and elderly, and university security officer Beatrice Janes, who has been like a second mum to hundreds of students at Canterbury Christchurch University.

If you missed any of last week's calls you can listen here now and Rob will be surprising more nominees from across the county on kmfm Drivetime until Friday as part of Make Someone's Christmas with Kent Reliance.
