This was the scene of destruction after a car careered off the road and into a dental practice last night.

The crash, at around 10.30pm on Holborough Road, Snodland, saw a section of the carriageway and building cordoned off by police.

The vehicle smashed through a wall of the Holborough Dental Surgery which is next to The Village Optician.

A police spokesman confirmed a man is in custody on suspicion of drink driving.

The ambulance service has been contacted for comment.
