A charity match will be held in honour of footballer Jay Carr, with money being raised for mental health organisation Mind.
The 20-year-old from Snodland was discovered by police in a woodland area near his home.
Jay was last seen on Monday, September 19, with police appealing for anyone who had information of his whereabouts to come forward.
His body was later found during a police search in Holly Hill Wood at 1.34pm the following day.
Flowers and a bottle of beer were placed by the woodland, as tributes to the "much-loved" footballer poured in.
His friends and family are now organising a charity football game, which they hope will allow them to celebrate Jay's favourite sport and passion.
The 20-year-old played at different clubs, including West Kingsdown, Ide Hill, and Aylesford.
Connie Horton became friends with Jay at Wrotham School, and is one of the organisers of the upcoming match.
She said: "He was in the year above me and joined the school in Year 8.
"We became friends and all of us used to hang out together around West Kingsdown.
"Jay loved having a laugh down at the pub with his mates.
"I never saw him down, he always had a smile on his face. He was a ray of sunshine."
A post shared on Facebook says: "Due to us losing a dear friend of ours, we have all come together and organised the Forever 23 charity football match.
"The boys will be going head-to-head and showing off their football skills. This is all for a good cause, it is not a game to miss.
"We will also be holding a raffle and auction including amazing donations from local businesses, staycations, off-roading experiences, signed pieces and much more."
Connie added: "The boys who will be playing are friends of Jay – most of them haven't done much football before, so the game will be quite interesting!
"They are all getting their own football shirts personalised and have started training already. Everyone is really making an effort for the cause."
The match will be held at King's Hill Sports Park, on Sunday, October 23.
Tickets will be sold on the door for £5, and kick-off is at 4pm.
All donations will go towards mental health charity Mind. You can find information for the charity here. For confidential support on an emotional issue, call Samaritans on 116 123 at any time or click here to visit the website.
An inquest into Jay's death was opened last Friday at County Hall in Maidstone.
Coroner Katrina Hepburn was told Jay, a car valet and builder, lived in Higham Avenue, Snodland, and had been found by police at Holly Hill Wood.
The inquest was adjourned and a full hearing will take place at Archbishop's Palace, on December 6.
