A convenience store has reopened after an extensive makeover.
The Co-op branch in Borough Green opened with a fresh new look yesterday following more than a month of works and improvements.
It previously closed to customers on Saturday, September 9, for renovations.
At the time, the next nearest store was in Hever Road, West Kingsdown – more than five miles away.
The 2,800 sq ft newly-decorated branch in Station Approach supports 20 jobs in the local community.
It now has a Costa coffee dispenser, in-store bakery, hot food and a cash machine.
There is also an increased range of fresh, healthy and chilled products – including everyday essentials and ingredients, food-to-go, Fairtrade products and ready meals, as well as vegan and plant-based products.
The online home delivery of groceries is available with Deliveroo, alongside parcel collection services available through Amazon.
Manager Heidi Botting said: “It has a great new look, and we have had a fantastic reaction as we welcome members and customers back into their Co-op.
“Our aim is to operate at the heart of local life. We have worked to develop the range, choice and added services to create a compelling offer, locally and conveniently.
“With a focus on delivering member value so that the people who own our business, our members, benefit every time they shop.”
The branch will be open between 6am and 11pm daily.
