One lane is blocked and traffic is moving slowly on the M20 due to an accident.

The inside lane of the motorway is closed at junction 4, on the coastbound side. The junction serves the A228 Castle Way heading towards Leybourne and Snodland.

Highways England reports it expects the accident to clear between 11.45 and midday.

Kent Police confirmed it was called at 9.20am.

Operation Brock came into effect on the road yesterday but Highways England announced it will be stood down as soon as possible.
