A cyclist has been injured in a hit-and-run collision with a car.

He was hurt in Malling Road, Snodland, this afternoon and had to be taken to hospital.

Police are now looking for the driver.

They were called at about 2.05pm and the ambulance service also attended.

A police spokesman told Kent Online: "Kent Police were called regarding a collision involving a car and a cyclist.

"Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene where the car driver had left prior to their attendance.

"The cyclist was treated for injuries and he was taken to a local hospital for further medical attention.

"Inquiries are continuing to locate the driver of the car."
