A driver was clocked doing 108mph in a 50 zone.

Police tweeted a picture today of one of their speed guns catching a motorists tearing down the A228 Ashton Way in Kings Hill at more than double the legal limit.

It happened shortly before 4pm on Tuesday (June 27).

The tweet said: “This driver can expect to her from us after we recorded them travelling at 108mph on the A228 which has a 50mph speed limit.

“Please remember to drive safely at all times to ensure a #safesummer for all.”

The driver will now get three points on their licence and a £100 fine.
