An elderly woman was taken to hospital after the car she was driving smashed into a trolley shelter in a supermarket car park.
The accident happened at Sainsbury's in Mills Road shortly before 2pm on Saturday.
The driver, who was in her 90s, was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital for checks.
She was said to be shaken and suffering from chest pain, but otherwise had no obvious injuries.
A panel of glass in the trolley shelter was smashed during the collision.
No other cars were involved.
A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: “We’ve been in touch with the woman's family and we’re pleased to hear she was not badly injured. Work to repair the trolley bay has begun and we will complete this as soon as possible.“
