A vehicle fire on the M20 has resulted in delays.

The incident occurred between Junction 3 for the M26 and Junction 4 for Leybourne on the coastbound carriageway at about 3.15pm.

Police fire and ambulance crews were called and emergency services are still in attendance, although it is believed there were no casualities.

Police have closed a lane for public safety reasons.

Kent Highways advises drivers to use an alternative route or expect delays.
