A family has paid tribute to a passionate fisherman and motorcyclist with a heart of gold, who died on Father's Day.
Grandfather Barry John White was rushed to hospital after a crash outside Cobtree Manor Park in May.
The Burham father-of-two died two weeks later at King's College Hospital on June 16 and last week police issued a new appeal for information.
His daughters have shared a moving tribute to the 71-year-old, who leaves behind an older brother and three grandchildren.
It reads: "Our dad wasn't a person you could sum up in a few words. He was a multifaceted character who would do anything for anyone and always offer help and advice when he could.
"We haven't heard anything other than kind words about him, even being told how he helped people to turn their lives around and aspire to be better people. He was a diamond with a heart of gold, a real one off.
"His passion in life was fishing, from a very young age the hobby began and from there led a lifetime of hooks, floats and big catches.
"There were many other interests along the way including motorbikes, camper vans and model making to name a few and he threw himself into each and every one of them.
"What is making our loss harder is that we still don't understand how and why this has happened..." The White family
"He leaves behind a heartbroken family, an older brother, two daughters and three grandchildren. Our world has fallen in around us, and we are devastated by the loss of our much loved dad, he was taken from us far too soon."
Kent Police officers are still trying to understand the circumstances of the crash that would ultimately cost the former Trebor Sharps and NHS Logistics employee his life.
Mr White's family added: "What is making our loss harder is that we still don't understand how and why this has happened. We do not have the closure any grieving family should have and would like to renew our appeal for any witnesses or information that may help to provide the answers we need to piece together that days tragic events.
"Dad went to school in Maidstone at St Paul's Primary School and Vinter's Secondary School."
