A blaze broke out in the bin store of a housing estate where there have been a number of devastating blazes.
The fire, in Edwards Close at Holborough Lakes in Snodland, started at around 8.45pm on Tuesday.
Two fire crews attended and used hose-reel jets to extinguish the flames.
They had left the scene by 9.30pm.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is unknown, although residents blame youths throwing fireworks into the bins.
If that was what happened, it has echoes of November 2008, when a stray firework landing in bins was blamed for a blaze in the estate’s Poynder Drive which led to nine flats being evacuated.
This week’s drama is only one street away from Lambe Close and Manley Road where a massive fire broke out in 2017 in which 22 apartments were destroyed or badly damaged.
It was two years before some residents were able to return to their re-built properties.
The cause of that blaze also remains unknown.
