Emergency services were called to a derelict bungalow last night after flames ripped through the building.
Two fire engines attended the Hermitage Lane address — which is next to land being developed into veterans' accommodation — just before midnight and spent three hours tackling the blaze.
Kent Police were also in attendance but have this morning confirmed they are not currently treating the fire as suspicious.
UK Power Networks also attended the incident to deal with a low hanging cable.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service left the scene at around 3am.
