A stop check of a suspicious car led to the arrest of a man on firearms offences.
Plain clothes officers were on patrol in Snodland yesterday when they approached a Ford Focus which had parked in Edward Close.
Checks showed the driver was wanted in connection with a previous reported incident of possessing an imitation firearm.
This was alleged to have happened in the same area on Tuesday, November 28.
When officers searched a nearby property they then recovered what was believed to be live ammunition in a container inside.
The 27-year-old from Snodland was arrested on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm and for possessing prohibited ammunition.
He was later released, pending further investigation.
