Three people have been taken to hospital with serious burns after a caravan fire.
Two crews arrived in Park Road, Addington, at 8.40am and stayed at the scene until 10am.
They wore wearing breathing apparatus and used hose reel jets to bring the blaze, which spread to two mobile homes, under control.
Three patients suffered serious burns and were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
A woman was airlifted to St George's Hospital in Tooting and is understood to be in an induced coma.
A man in his 50s was taken to Kings College Hospital by road and another woman, aged approximately in her 50s, was taken to Maidstone Hospital.
It is understood the mobile homes were there as part of a touring club that meet by the village's cricket club every New Year's Eve.
An eyewitness described hearing several bangs, before spotting the flames and thick black smoke coming from the area by the cricket pavilion.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
Police closed the road and the fire also caused smoke to billow out across the M20 near J3 for Borough Green.
It has now been reopened.
