Two lanes of a motorway were shut causing queuing traffic following a fuel spillage.

The eastbound carriageway of the M20 was affected between junction 1 for Swanley and junction 2 for Wrotham.

Traffic was brought to a standstill briefly, which has led to congestion stretching back three miles.

All lanes have been reopened and traffic conditions have returned to normal.
