Conservative Tracey Crouch has represented Chatham and Aylesford as the constituency's MP since 2010.

She was returned in 2017 with a majority of 10,458. She is now hoping voters will give her a fourth term.

Born in 1975, she grew up and was educated in Kent, the daughter of a social worker and insurance broker.

She graduated in law from Hull University and then became a Conservative party researcher.

A keen sportswoman, she is a qualified FA football coach.

She has served in Government as the Under Secretary of State for Sport, Heritage and Tourism, and later for Sport, Civil Society and Loneliness.

She will be standing on her record as a constituency MP fighting to remove the stigma from mental health problems, to improve rail services and to support pensioners with her free advice fairs.

Locally, she said her main priority was to ensure the area received the necessary infrastructure to support the high level of housing it had sustained.

She also aims to get Brexit done.

The other candidates are John Gibson (Christian Peoples Alliance), Vince Maple (Lab), Dave Naghi (Lib Dem) and Geoff Wilkinson (Green).
