Old Oast Centre offices in Aylesford could be converted to homes

A converted oast being used as offices could be converted again – this time to housing.

SCF Investments, the owner of the Old Oast Centre in Coldharbour Lane, Aylesford, has applied to Tonbridge and Malling council to turn the oast into three homes and to build a further six homes in the grounds.

The six additional homes would comprise two detached houses and two pairs of semi-detached properties. Each would have two parking spaces and there would be an additional four visitors’ spaces.

In its application, the company points out that Tonbridge and Malling has no exisiting Local Plan and can only demonstate that it has a three-year housing land supply, making the provision of new homes vital.
