Pupils and teachers at a Snodland primary school have taken a stand against bullying by wearing odd socks.

St Katherine's School and Nursery spent a week celebrating diversity and respect in November.

Marek Campbell, deputy head at the St Katherine's Lane school, said: "Everyone in school wore odd socks embracing being different.

"Throughout the week students engaged in a variety of school activities based around an anti-bullying message."

Students created their own "odd sock" during anti-bullying week, with each sock baring a message of what made them different from other pupils.

Older pupils learnt about the impact bullying can have, while there were also debates and classes to create kindness trees.

The trees were made to promote respecting one another in class, in school and the wider community.
