Fly-tippers who dumped a commercial fridge in the countryside are being hunted by irate residents.
They have been described as “lazy, scummy, selfish individuals” after dumping the fridge in Sweets Lane, near East Malling, by one of the gates leading to the East Malling Research Centre.
It was discovered by Daniel Markham while he was out walking his dog.
He was so incensed he launched a Facebook appeal to track down the culprits and it struck a chord with other residents.
Marie Paarman described the fly-tipping as “selfish, disgusting behaviour”.
While Josh Owen said: “It makes my blood boil just thinking about it.”
The only clue to the fridge’s origins is a small sticker advertising Ginsters pasties, but at least two people think they have seen similar fridges in shops and have pledged to go back to see if the businesses still have them.
Anyone, who believes they know who dumped the fridge should contact Tonbridge and Malling environment department, details are here.
If identified, the fly-tippers could face a fine of up to £50,000 or a six-month prison sentence.
