Vandals have scrawled obscenities on the sign for a police headquarters.
The board at the entrance to the site at Coldharbour, near Aylesford, was daubed with expletives, insults and offensive images.
The graffiti, which appears to have been etched into the mould, was reported to Police and Crime Commissioner, Ann Barnes, on Twitter earlier today.
One Twitter user suggested budget cuts may be the reason for the lack of upkeep and alerted the PCC to the issue.
Mrs Barnes made Kent Police aware of the issue and the force confirmed officers had made attempts to scrub the sign clean.
A Kent Police spokesman said: "Since being made aware of the issue we have arranged for it to be cleaned."
